The Process

There's no right way to start painting. We're all working under the confines of time - so as long as you roll and cut-in close enough together so they dry down the same, you'll be ok. I’ve always preferred to edge around the entire room then come back in and fill-in the blocks.

Keep it simple.

Tools of The Trade

Edgers

By far the most crucial tool in the bag. I was very fortunate to have been mentored by someone who was a wizard with edgers. And after months and months of training I had gained the confidence to do Units on my own with just as much effective- ness as him. I now have almost 17 years of experience on these gems. To be honest, I'm not sure I'd be a painter with- out them

Sprayer

My Ace in the back pocket. Need to do all the Ceilings quickly? Pull out the Sprayer. Asked to do a color change and it includes Closets? The Sprayer saves the day. An Airless Sprayer can do in 5 minutes what would take 2 hours by hand. But you need to learn when and when not to use these machines - that's the magic they bring.

18” roller

I'm spoiled by the fact that these bulldozer-rollers exist. You can cover a lot of area with an 18" roller. This over-sized beauty is how some Apartments can be done in just over an hour. If you need to cover some ground and get some work done, look no further.

Mission

When my boys started getting a little older and entered into elementary school, I really took a deep assessment of my life and goals and decided to take a leap. Truth be told, way too many of the songs in Hamilton shook me in a way I couldn't ignore anymore, so I decided to form a company doing what I knew best.

I get asked all the time what the brothers means in Swatch Bros. - and I always smile. My company is for my sons. The hours I put in every week are for my sons. And I have a vision that maybe one day they'd love to be a part of this journey we're on as a family.

I've worked a long time with people face to face, and by far the most important attributes I cherish are trust and honesty. Jobs come and go, and projects might fall through - but it's always the relationships that I look for- ward to building. The apartment communities in Omaha feel so much like a family to me. You can blink and have two new contacts that become good friends and refer you to two other people you never would have known. Global takeover in my future? Not a chance. But I go to bed at night with the confidence that I made a difference in the communities I worked for that day. I'm just one cog in a giant wheel that goes around and around every month; but it's such a pleasure to be a part of the team.
